The APK (General Periodical Inspection) is the legally required inspection of your vehicle for road safety and environmental standards. Petrol cars require their first APK after 4 years, and diesel cars after 3 years. Subsequently, this is required annually (for cars older than 8 years) or every 2 years.

Performing the inspection
Our RDW-certified inspectors will check your vehicle according to official APK requirements, taking approximately 45 minutes on average.

Honest advice
Are any repairs needed? We will inform you first about what is required and why. Only after your approval will we proceed.

RDW deregistration
Approved? We will immediately deregister your vehicle with the RDW. You can enjoy another year (or two) of carefree driving.

How long does an APK inspection at Rosen take?

On average, 45 minutes. You are welcome to wait in our lounge, or we can message you as soon as your car is ready.
What if my car fails the inspection?

Not a problem. We will explain exactly what needs to be done and provide a no-obligation quote. Only after your approval will we carry out the repair and perform the re-inspection free of charge.
How often does my car need an APK?

Petrol/hybrid: first inspection after 4 years, then every 2 years until the car is 8 years old. Annually thereafter. Diesel: first inspection after 3 years, then annually.
When can I have my APK done early?

You can have the inspection done up to 2 months before the expiry date without affecting the new expiry date. This is convenient if you are going on holiday or wish to visit the garage.
What do I need to bring?

The vehicle registration certificate (part 1B or the card) is sufficient. We will handle the RDW deregistration immediately.
